Taha Ali has been in Thessaloniki since Monday evening to finalize his transfer to PAOK and join his new team’s preseason training without delay.
The 28-year-old winger arrived at “Macedonia” Airport via Copenhagen, where he was greeted by representatives of the “Double-Headed Eagle of the North.” Now only the final formalities remain before he signs his multi-year contract and the “black-and-white” club officially announces the signing.
PAOK has reached a full agreement with Malmö for the acquisition of the Swedish international, completing yet another significant move as part of its efforts to strengthen its roster.
Taha Ali had been a key target in PAOK’s transfer plans for quite some time, as he is a player whose attributes align with the team’s philosophy and on-field needs.
Taha Ali comes off a World Cup appearance with the Swedish national team, having gained significant experience at the highest level.
His international experience, combined with his consistent club appearances, raises expectations that he will be ready to contribute from the very start.
PAOK is returning to training after a two-day break following the main phase of preseason training in the Netherlands. All signs point to Ali arriving at the Nea Mesimvria training facility shortly to meet his new teammates and take part in his first training session with the “black-and-whites.”
