The Miami Herald reports the latest news on the Heat and their efforts to build a strong roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo.
According to the report, LeBron James remains a target for the team, and Pat Riley is in contact with him. The 41-year-old superstar is also being targeted by the Warriors and the Cavaliers.
If signing “The King” proves impossible, DeMar DeRozan, who is a free agent, could become the top priority.
Their main target is Klay Thompson, but only if he is released from his $17.5 million contract with the Mavericks for the upcoming season. In general, Miami wants to acquire another “wing” player with a good shot.
The Heat are considering veteran guards Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook (both free agents), though they are not a priority at this time.
