Dimitris Kourbelis is returning to Asteras after ten years! The 32-year-old midfielder, who became a free agent after leaving Al-Kalij in Saudi Arabia, has reached an agreement with the club that launched his career and is expected in Arcadia tomorrow to sign his contract.

The international star is expected to depart on Saturday with the rest of the squad for the Netherlands, where the main phase of preseason training will take place.

Kourbelis, a key member of the national team with 54 appearances and 3 goals, will be Asteras’ tenth signing this season.

Last season, he made 31 appearances, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist for Al-Khalij. At Asteras, he had made 131 appearances, 3 goals, and 1 assist before being sold to Panathinaikos in 2016, where he recorded 174 appearances, 8 goals, and 10 assists.
