Everything’s… looking good in Vienna, and it’s the final rehearsal for Panathinaikos! Jacob Nystrup’s team, one week before their first match against Paksi, will face Rapid Vienna in Vienna (7:00 p.m.).

This is a match of symbolic significance, as the relationship between the two teams is almost… brotherly, thanks to the excellent rapport between their fans, and it is crucial for the decisions that the team’s coach, Jacob Nystrup, ahead of the two matches against Paksi in the second qualifying round of the Conference League.

Panathinaikos’s preseason has gone exactly as their new coach wanted. Hard work, tactics, physical conditioning, hope, a sparkle in the eyes, and wins in the friendly matches. In the Netherlands, the “Greens” went 2-0, first defeating Helmond 4-0, followed by a convincing performance and a 3-1 victory over Ajax.

Upon their return to Greece, Panathinaikos continued their training and squad reinforcement efforts and rewarded more than 14,000 fans at the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” Stadium by winning a friendly match 3-0 against Grasshoppers.

Jacob Nystrup will not have Davide Calabria at his disposal, as Calabria, during the final training session before the team’s departure, experienced discomfort in his meniscus and was left off the roster in order to both protect himself and undergo an MRI.

Facundo Pelistri also remained in Athens, as did the team’s most recent signing, Viktor Christiansen, who, however, had his first practice yesterday.

Panathinaikos’ roster: Peña, Chávez, Kotsaris, Katris, Tsiriveya, Touba, De Vrij, Tetei, Jagiusic, Adino, Zarouri, Ingason, Cherin, Pantelidis, Kontouris, Tsapras, Taborda, Kamara, Siopis, Vyntra, Ioannou, Biniaris, Lavdas, Rastonder, and Kyriakopoulos.
