Water consumption during this season remains higher than during the same period last year, according to a statement from the Department of Water Development, which notes that this situation “underscores the need to further strengthen water conservation measures and ensure an even more rational use of water by everyone.”
At the same time, the Water Development Department reports that the free distribution of water-saving equipment to households is continuing. To date, approximately 35% of the total number of kits planned for distribution to consumers have been distributed, it adds.
The Department urges those who have already received the free faucet aerators and shower flow reducers to install them immediately.
“According to verified data, this equipment can reduce water consumption by up to 30%,” the announcement notes.
At the same time, it is noted that similar water-saving showerheads are also available on the market at a low cost.
“Water conservation depends not only on installing equipment, but also on our daily habits,” the Department notes.
“Avoiding waste, promptly repairing leaks, and using water wisely remain essential to safeguarding the country’s water resources,” the announcement concludes.
