Panathinaikos is playing an exhibition match against Rapid Vienna at “Weststadion,” as a final tune-up before their first European match against Paxi.
Jakob Nistrup has joined the “Greens” and will be in the starting lineup against the Austrians. He made seven changes from the recent friendly against Grasshoppers, fielding only De Vrij, Kyriakopoulos, Antino, and Zarouri in the starting lineup.
Specifically, Panathinaikos will line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Penya will start in goal, with Tsapra, De Vrij, Touba, and Kyriakopoulos forming the back four. Cherin and Kamara will play in central midfield, with Zarouri and Antino on the wings and Taborda behind the lone striker, Rastonder.
Meanwhile, on the “clover’s” bench will be Chaves, Kotsaris, Katris, Tsiriveya, Tetei, Jagusic, Ingason, Pantelidis, Kontouris, Siopis, Vyntra, Ioannou, Biniaris, and Lavdas.
It’s worth noting that this is the first time the players will take the field wearing their “regular” jersey numbers for this season.
