Maintenance work on sections of the Nicosia-Limassol and Limassol-Paphos highways, as well as on the old Nicosia-Limassol road, will be carried out next week.

As stated in the announcement, on Monday and Tuesday, July 20 and 21, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following day, work will be carried out to replace expansion joints on the Gyalia Bridge, on the Nicosia-Limassol Highway.

The work will take place on the lane heading toward Limassol, between the Pera Choriou Nisou-Kotsiatis exit and the junction with the Nicosia-Larnaca Highway.

During the work, the middle and fast lanes will be closed for a distance of approximately 800 meters, and traffic will be restricted to the left lane only. 

At the same time, on Tuesday, July 21, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following day, on the Nicosia-Limassol Highway (A1), on the section from Skarinou to Germasogeia, waste collection work will be carried out on the median strip of the highway.

While the work is underway, the fast lane in the direction of Limassol will be closed in sections, and traffic will be diverted to the slow lane.

On Wednesday and Thursday, July 22 and 23, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following day, work will be carried out to replace expansion joints on the Gialia Bridge, on the Nicosia-Limassol Highway.

The work will take place on the lane heading toward Limassol, between the Pera Choriou Nisou-Kotsiatis exit and the junction with the Nicosia-Larnaca Highway. toward Limassol, between the Pera Chorio Nisou-Kotsiatis exit and the junction with the Nicosia-Larnaca highway.

During the work, the left lane will be closed for a distance of approximately 800 meters, and traffic will be routed through the middle and fast lanes. 

The Department of Public Works also announces that from Tuesday, July 21, through Thursday, July 23, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., road sweeping work will be carried out on sections of the Limassol-Paphos Highway.

The work will take place from the grade-separated interchange at the New Limassol Hospital to the Petra tou Romiou exit in both directions.

While the work is underway, the highway’s fast lane will be closed in sections approximately 200 meters long in one direction only at any given time, and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. 

On Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., road marking work will be carried out on sections of the old Nicosia-Limassol Road within the Community of Kofinou, covering a total length of approximately 1.5 km.

During the work, one lane of the old Nicosia-Limassol road will be closed in sections (100 meters at a time), and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
