Lamine Yamal and Pedro Porro trained separately on Thursday from the rest of the Spanish team, ahead of the World Cup final against Argentina this coming Sunday, but their condition is not a cause for concern for the European champions’ coaching staff.
Both players did some light running and specific drills on the field, while the rest of the roster completed their team practice under the guidance of Luis de la Fuente.
The 19-year-old Barcelona attacking midfielder appeared with a bandage on his left thigh due to the blows he sustained in the semifinal against France last Tuesday, while the Tottenham right back is suffering from muscle fatigue that forced him to be substituted at the end of the match against the “Tricolores.”
The decision to keep them partially out of the “Furia Roja’s” regular training schedule is part of a recovery plan to ensure they are in the best possible condition for the final in New Jersey. The RFFA expects that both players will be available for Luis de la Fuente against the world champions.
