Michael Olise expressed his desire to continue his career at Real Madrid to his teammates on the French national team, according to L’Équipe, which features this story on its front page today (July 17).
The 24-year-old Bayern Munich attacking midfielder reportedly has a lifelong dream of playing for “La Reina” and will push for that after the World Cup.
Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, had said during his election campaign that he wanted to bring a world-class superstar to the team by spending up to 150 million euros, although shortly afterward he clarified that he was not referring to Olise.
In any case, Bayern shows no inclination to sell the French star, who is under contract through 2029. “Florentino Pérez doesn’t need to bother making us an offer, because Bayern isn’t going to sell Olise,” clarified the Bavarian club’s president, Herbert Hainer.
