The case file regarding the tragic death of the three-year-old boy, who lost his life after falling from the fourth floor of a hotel in Chloraka.
According to Michalis Nikolaou, Assistant Police Director of Operations for Paphos and Press Officer for the Paphos Police Department, the case file has been returned to the investigators with instructions to carry out specific actions in order to complete the investigation. Meanwhile, the suspect, the child’s father, remains in custody.

As Mr. Nikolaou stated, the police submitted the case file to the Legal Service today, Friday, as the bulk of the investigation has been completed and guidance was sought on the next steps in the case.
Meanwhile, the results of the laboratory tests are still pending, while the 37-year-old, through his attorney, has filed a request for his immediate release.
The tragedy occurred on Sunday afternoon when the three-year-old child, who was staying with his family at a hotel in the Paphos district, fell from the fourth floor of the building.
The 37-year-old is being investigated for offenses related to causing death due to reckless, careless, or dangerous act; dereliction of duty as head of the family; and dereliction of responsibility as the person in charge of a minor.
According to the autopsy findings, the cause of the child’s death was severe traumatic brain injury and multiple injuries to the body and vital organs, which were caused by a fall from a height.
Regarding the incident, the president of the Paphos Hoteliers Association, Euripides Loizidis, has stated that the evidence available so far does not indicate that the hotel bears any responsibility for the tragic incident.
