Apollon has reached an agreement with Sturm Graz on all terms and has completed a major signing!
Hernán Losada’s team has officially announced the deal with the Austrian center back, completing its seventh signing of the season
The player will play for the Blues until May 2029.
The Limassol club made this signing to fill the void left by Goldson following his health issue.
The Limassol club’s announcement: “Apollon Football (Public) Ltd. announces that it has reached an agreement with Sturm Graz for the acquisition of Emanuel Aïvo until May 2029.
The Austrian center back was born on December 25, 2000, and has experience playing in the Austrian, Italian, and English leagues.
He began his professional career with Admira Wacker, and subsequently played for Rapid Vienna, Cremonese, Birmingham City, and Sturm Graz.
His most recent club was Sturm Graz, where he played for the past two years, winning the Austrian Championship during the 2024–2025 season. At the same time, he gained significant experience in European competitions, making a total of 26 appearances in the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, and the UEFA Conference League. In total, with Sturm Graz during the 2024–2026 period, he made 63 appearances across all competitions.
Aivu has represented Austria at every youth national team level, from the U-18s to the U-21s, recording a total of 23 appearances and three goals.
