The countdown to the official start of the 2026-2027 Cyprus League by Stoiximan has begun.
The 14 teams that will compete in this year’s league are in the midst of their preseason preparations for the new season, and all have now decided who will lead them from the bench.
The latest and most recent hire was that of Dmytro Tsigrinski from Krasava ENY Ypsona, with the Ukrainian coach being just the second, along with Anorthosis’s Nestor El Maestro, to work in Cyprus for the first time.
Furthermore, it’s interesting to note that seven coaches are returning for the new season. They are last year’s league champion with Omonia, Henning Berg; the Cup winner with Pafos, Ricardo Sa Pinto, Hernán Lozada (Apollon), Hugo Martins (AEL), and the three who celebrated promotion from the Second to the First Division: Ángel López (Nea Salamina), Alexis Garpozis (Karmiotissa), and Fanzio Buijs (Omonia 29M).
As for Cypriot coaches, only two are included on the list: Giannis Okkas at Omonia Aradippou and Alexis Garpozis at Karmiotissa.
