Rick van Drongelen is trying on his Panathinaikos green jersey!

Shortly after midnight on Friday, July 17, the “Greens” received a signed copy of the existing verbal agreement with Samsunspor for the transfer of the Dutch left-footed center back, and the transfer is now entering the… final stretch!

Van Drongelen is expected to travel to Athens immediately, so that he can undergo the standard medical exams as soon as possible, after which he will sign a four-year contract!

The 27-year-old began his soccer career in the Sparta Rotterdam youth academy, and subsequently played for Hamburg, Union Berlin, Malin, Hansa Rostock, and Samsunspor. With the latter, he made a total of 47 appearances.
