Greece’s top tennis player is two sets away from winning the Swiss Open Gstaad title, with Belgian Rafael Collignon (July 20, 12:30 p.m.).

Tsitsipas has been putting in consistently strong performances throughout the tournament, starting his run with a 2-0 victory over Busch, then defeating Kim (2-1) and Rinderkne (2-1) to reach the semifinals! There, he defeated Alexander Shevchenko 2-1 in sets, returning to an ATP final after 17 months!

Thus, Stefanos will compete in a final for the 31st time in his career today, while also competing for his 13th career title, his most recent having come in February 2025 at the ATP 500 in Dubai.

“We both had long matches, but we both wanted this so badly. We’ll both go out there and give it our all. I expect nothing less than a great battle. I know I’ve said this before, but in a final, you want to give it your all. I want to go out there and do my best,” Tsitsipas said ahead of today’s final.

As for Colignon, at 27, he is ranked No. 42 in the world, and today he will compete in an ATP Tour final for the first time in his career. To reach the final match of the tournament in Gstaad, Colignon defeated Skatov (2-1), Sonego (2-0), Vassero (2-1), and Cerundolo (2-1). Today’s match will be his first against Stefanos Tsitsipas.
