The forensic examination of the remains, believed to belong to a woman around 30 years old, is expected to provide answers to the Kypseli mystery.

The woman’s body, which is estimated to have been dead for 6 to 7 days before it was found—and despite having suffered significant decomposition— was discovered yesterday at noon by a person who collects plastic to take to recycling bins; a strong odor led him to a specific spot in an abandoned building, where he made the shocking discovery.

The woman has orange hair tied in a bun, is approximately 1.60 tall, and is estimated to be about 30 years old. Her body was placed in a bag and then put into a suitcase.

A visual examination revealed no signs suggesting a criminal act, however, nothing can be ruled out, and answers are expected from the forensic examination to be conducted tomorrow.

The autopsy and its findings are expected to be crucial in determining the time of death, a crucial piece of information to advance the investigation and help police officers review specific time frames on surveillance cameras in the area.

What the Hellenic Police Are Looking For

The homicide detectives assigned to the case will be looking for footage from security cameras, while statements from neighbors and people who frequented the area are considered crucial, as it is a spot where drug users and homeless people often gather.

Police will also investigate the mystery in light of recent reported disappearances and the drug-user community, as they have not ruled out the possibility that she was a drug user who died there and that the people who found her decided to conceal her remains.

As for the possibility that this is the Chinese woman who went missing from Artemida, it appears to be a scenario that is becoming less likely and does not seem plausible, for many reasons. However, nothing can be ruled out until official answers are provided.
