Azeddine Ounai had an amazing World Cup with Morocco, where he was a starter and irreplaceable, scoring two goals in six appearances.

The Moroccan midfielder is set to leave Girona and is looking for the next step in his career, with journalist Ekrem Konur reporting that Ajax is close to reaching an agreement with the 26-year-old, as it is in advanced talks to sign him.

At the same time, he emphasizes that Al-Ittihad is trying to lure him by offering him more money than the Dutch club, while both Panathinaikos and Olympiacos are also in the mix!

Specifically, Konour points out that Panathinaikos remains very interested in its former player, with Olympiacos also keeping a close eye on developments. As a reminder, Ounai wore the Panathinaikos jersey during the 2024–25 season while on loan from Marseille.
