A 37-year-old British national was taken into police custody, following a report of a domestic violence incident that occurred at a hotel in Anissaras, Hersonissos, Heraklion, on Sunday night (July 19). 

According to reports by creta24.gr, the man attacked his 29-year-old wife punching and kicking her; at the time of the incident, the couple’s three-year-old child was also present.

Police authorities responded immediately, rushing to the scene and arresting the 37-year-old man, following the procedures prescribed by law for addressing incidents of domestic violence.

The young woman was transported by ambulance to the University General Hospital of Heraklion, where she was examined by doctors; according to reports, her condition is not cause for concern.
