The coveted trophy in Messi’s “Last Dance”—the back-to-back title that would have been indelibly etched in history—may not have materialized.

Second place may not mean much, though it is a tremendous honor for Argentina in a tournament during which it was defending the title it won in 2022.

Nevertheless, the President of Argentina wants to honor Scaloni, Messi, and the rest of the national team’s heroes who made it all the way to the final of this year’s tournament.

Thus, Javier Milei has decided to declare a national holiday in the coming days, the date of which will be chosen by the members of the “Albiceleste.”
