The “green light” from the medical team treating the 46-year-old woman in the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital was given to members of the Limassol CID investigative team.
The investigators went to the hospital, where, according to reports, they met with the 46-year-old woman for a few hours and spoke with her about the events of June 30, the day she was the victim of an attempted murder by her 55-year-old husband, who subsequently took his own life.
The victim told members of the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department what had led up to the incident. That morning, the 55-year-old police officer, after leaving his shift at the Agios Raphael Marina Port Authority, he had gone to their home, and when the 46-year-old left for work, he followed her to the spot outside the school where he shot her inside her vehicle.
The 46-year-old is expected to provide a detailed written statement as soon as her health permits, so that investigators can piece together all the parts of this family tragedy.
