The reality of war in the Middle East continues unabated, with the U.S.-Iran exchanges of strikes on both sides continuing relentlessly.

For their part, the U.S. armed forces announced on Monday evening (Washington time; morning in Cyprus) that they had completed the strikes launched against Iran for the 10th consecutive night, emphasizing that they specifically targeted “military command centers” and “naval capabilities” of the Islamic Republic.

U.S. forces “struck military command centers, naval assets, missile and drone launch facilities, as well as Iranian air defense systems to reduce Iran’s ability to continue attacking commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz,” according to a statement via X from their joint command responsible for the Middle East (CENTCOM, “Central Command”).

Two Tankers Blocked in the Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards report that they struck two tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Specifically, two oil tankers were engulfed in flames following explosions as they attempted to traverse the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz, according to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, who added that the strait will remain closed as long as U.S. operations in the region continue.

“Two oil tankers that did not comply” with Iranian orders and “attempted to pass through the dangerous southern route of the Strait of Hormuz were stopped after major explosions occurred,” Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps stated in a press release carried by the news agency.

The Revolutionary Guards also reported that they targeted U.S. facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait, as reported by the official IRNA news agency.

Iran’s ideological army reported that it struck two air defense systems and a radar facility at two U.S. bases in Bahrain, as well as anti-missile defense radars and satellite communications systems in Kuwait.

He added that following the attack on these systems, “the enemy must prepare for ‘waves of drones and missile attacks that are even more decisive and powerful,’” the corps stated in a press release carried by the news agency.

Nuclear Thriller

Israeli intelligence agencies reportedly estimate that Iran has moved thousands of nuclear centrifuges to Mount Pickaxe, burying them deep underground and making them harder to target in airstrikes. The Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. and Israeli officials, reports that Israel has informed the U.S. that its intelligence agencies indicate Tehran made the move last fall, following the 12-day war in June 2025, during which the U.S. deployed B-52 bombers to strike Iran’s underground nuclear facilities.
