Aris is heading to Italy and Brescia, where the team will conduct the main phase of its preseason training through July 31. The “Yellows” have already completed two weeks of training in Thessaloniki and Ptolemaida and are now moving on to the most demanding part of their preseason.
Shortly before departure, Michalis Grigoriou stated: “We’re leaving today for the second phase of our training camp, which is the most important part of our journey so far, starting from the very first day we met with the players. I think everything is going well so far, because the most important thing for us is to avoid injuries.”
Regarding the work to be done in Italy and the friendlies against Atalanta and Monza, he said: “The second phase is more demanding. We have the two friendlies against Atalanta and Monza, and we want to make sure we come through them without any injuries again. Above all, we want to work on specific areas we need to address—particularly in our attacking third—and identify any weaknesses and improvements we’ll need to make before the start of our official matches.”
Referring to transfers, the Aris coach clarified: “Our main concern is defense, because that’s where we have the biggest gaps. Of course, we’re expecting reinforcements through transfers, mainly in that area. I believe that by the end of the second phase of preseason training, some players will definitely have joined us.”
Finally, regarding the philosophy for the new season, he said: “We want this to be our foundation. We want this to be our overall philosophy. Building on how we finished last season, we want to start from there and add a few more pieces to the puzzle, to build the team we all want and know how it should play on the field.”
