“The saddest thing—which reflects our society, because we must call a spade a spade—is that this video is being discussed in cafes, yet it is not the subject of criticism, nor is it being condemned, nor even used to demonstrate how wrong it is and that the language and the actions it incites the person with an intellectual disability to take are abusive.”
When asked whether the police should have acted sooner, she states that the complaint has been on file with the police since June 1, 2026, expressing the view that there should already be a resolution.

He clarifies that it is not the job of the KYSOA to conduct investigations, but they did report the incident.
“The police’s role is clear. Today, we were contacted by the cybercrime unit. We believe that certain actions being taken now should have been taken many weeks ago, when the complaint was filed. In other words, even if no link between an individual and an account had been established.”
He expresses concern about various issues related to accessibility and respect for people with disabilities.
“As a society, we have issues, and we need to accept that. Many people think that accepting diversity means making a donation to a fundraiser, if possible, or to a telethon. That is not what acceptance of diversity is about. And we need to understand this. It’s not about giving a few coins; we’re not talking about charity, we’re not talking about alms—we’re talking about respect for human rights.”
