The fire that broke out near the Ergaton industrial area left behind ashes and debris.

The fire was brought under control after burning seven hectares of land, while also affecting a number of abandoned vehicles and structures, which, according to the Fire Department’s spokesperson, contained old, abandoned vehicles and machinery.

A solar farm also sustained minor damage.

Four aircraft were also deployed to battle the flames, while the Chief Fire Officer and Head of the Operations Center was at the Operations Center to coordinate the firefighting operation, while the Assistant District Fire Chief of Nicosia coordinated the firefighting efforts on the ground.

The cause of the fire is under investigation in cooperation with the police.
