Gideon Kalulu has traveled to Poland to join the rest of Aris’s roster, according to an official announcement from the Limassol-based club.
The 28-year-old had been absent from preseason training, having been granted leave following the conclusion of his duties at the 2026 World Cup, with the national team of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he reached the round of 32.
In detail: “Gedeon Kalulu has rejoined the rest of the team here in Poland. The World Cup-bound defender was on leave due to his participation in the World Cup with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with whom he reached the round of 32 in the tournament.
Meanwhile, the team’s preparations continued with a double training session on Tuesday. Both the morning and afternoon sessions took place at the stadium.
In fact, the morning session was quite long—about 75 minutes—and included passing drills, explosiveness exercises, and short-distance sprints. The players then performed one-on-one, two-on-two, and three-on-three drills in small-sided games and concluded with set pieces.
In the afternoon, the training session focused on ball movement and build-up plays, as well as finishing drills, while the final portion was again devoted to set pieces.
Tomorrow, the team is scheduled to play its second friendly match on Polish soil against Hapoel Ra’anana, an Israeli second-division team aiming for promotion to the top division. Their roster consists mainly of local players, though they also have three African players who were recently signed.
The match will take place at the hotel where our team is training and will begin at 5:00 p.m. (6:00 p.m. Cyprus time).”
