The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Cyprus supported the humanitarian work of the Cyprus Red Cross with a donation of €3,000, reaffirming its long-standing, tangible support for the organization’s mission and activities.
The donation was presented by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Nicosia, His Excellency Mr. Yang Yundong, during a meeting with the President and senior officials of the Organization at the Cyprus Red Cross Headquarters. During the meeting, the Organization’s multifaceted work was presented, with particular emphasis on the services provided by the “Stella Soulioti” for children with developmental and other needs, as well as to their families.

The Ambassador was briefed on the work and contributions of the Therapeutic Center and, as a symbolic gesture of love and solidarity, he donated stuffed animals for the Center’s children, expressing his interest and support.
The President of the Cyprus Red Cross, Ms. Fotini Papadopoulou, warmly thanked the Ambassador for this significant contribution and stated: “The generous donation from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China is a substantial boost to the humanitarian work of the Cyprus Red Cross and our efforts tobe there every day for those in need. We warmly thank His Excellency Ambassador Yang Yundong for his trust and support of our Organization. We were particularly moved by the interest he showed in the “Stella Soulioti” Children’s Treatment Center.”
