There have been rapid developments regarding the serious traffic accident that occurred in the early hours of the morning in Aglantzia, which resulted in the serious injury of a 16-year-old.
Authorities initially arrested the 27-year-old man and subsequently arrested his 27-year-old wife, as he claimed that she was the driver of the vehicle involved.

It should be noted that the accident occurred around 2:00 a.m., when a vehicle traveling from Georgios Grivas Digenis Avenue toward Larnaca Avenue in Aglatzia, under circumstances that are under investigation, struck and dragged a personal mobility device traveling ahead of it, which was being ridden by the 16-year-old.

As a result of the collision, the 16-year-old was seriously injured and transported to Nicosia General Hospital, where he underwent surgery and remains in critical condition.
The vehicle involved was located shortly afterward at a different location from the crash site. A 27-year-old man—who, according to initial reports, is believed to have been the driver of the vehicle—underwent a final breathalyzer test, tested positive with a final result of 73% instead of 22 μg%, which is the legal limit, and was arrested for a flagrant offense.
The Nicosia Traffic Police are continuing their investigation.
