Another 119 foreign nationals who were residing illegally in Cyprus were repatriated

How many returned to their country of origin within seven months?

As part of the efforts being made by the Police — the Ministry of Public Order and the Deputy Ministry of Migration — a total of 119 foreign nationals residing illegally were repatriated today to their countries of origin.

From January 1, 2026, to date, 5,288 foreign nationals residing illegally in Cyprus have been repatriated through voluntary and forced return procedures.

Regarding irregular arrivals in 2026, 856 irregular migrants have arrived illegally, while for the corresponding period last year, the number stood at 1,299 migrants.

The Police continue to focus their efforts on maximizing the number of repatriations of third-country nationals residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus, in coordination with other relevant agencies.
