Police arrested a 51-year-old man at noon today to facilitate the investigation into an ongoing case involving attempted murder, acts intended to cause serious bodily harm, injury, and assault with a knife, as well as the illegal possession and carrying of an offensive weapon.
According to the evidence under investigation, the 51-year-old allegedly attacked a 53-year-old man this morning and injured him in the neck and arm with a sharp object.
The 51-year-old is also alleged to have attacked a 27-year-old man who was at the scene, injuring him in the arm with a sharp object.
The 53-year-old was taken to Paphos General Hospital, where his wounds were sutured, and he was admitted for treatment. The 27-year-old was also taken to the hospital, where he received first aid and was discharged.
The Paphos Traffic Accident Investigation Unit is continuing its investigation.
