A 43-year-old man who fell off an electric scooter and suffered a serious injury to the back of his head is being treated, intubated, in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Thessaly.

According to Onlarissa.gr, the 43-year-old, who was seriously injured last Friday morning, is showing slight signs of improvement, though he is not yet out of life-threatening danger.

Doctors are working to help him gradually come out of sedation and wake up. His condition, however, continues to require close medical monitoring.

The accident occurred around 11 a.m. on Friday on Ogl Street in Larissa. According to reports, while riding his electric scooter, he collided with a pedestrian, causing the 43-year-old to lose his balance, fall backward, and strike the back of his head.

An EKAB ambulance was called to the scene and arrived. He, however, reportedly felt fine at the time and was not taken to the hospital.

Shortly afterward, after returning home, his condition worsened and he felt severely unwell. His parents realized the seriousness of the situation and took him to the University Hospital of Larissa, where doctors began a major effort to treat his serious injury.
