Members of the Police (MMAD), as part of routine checks they were conducting in the Ayia Napa area, stopped a car last night for inspection; the vehicle was driven by a 26-year-old man, with a 29-year-old passenger.
During the subsequent search, 300 unused nitrous oxide (laughing gas) capsules, 12 inhalation kits, and a number of balloons.

The individuals were arrested on the spot for offenses committed in flagrante delicto and, after being formally charged in writing, were released.
The case is being investigated by the Ayia Napa Police Station.
