Brandon Clark's death was caused by heroin and cocaine use, according to the official report from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
The former NBA player, who was just 29 years old, was found unconscious in his bedroom in San Fernando Valley on May 11, 2026.
Drug paraphernalia was found at the scene, and he had been arrested shortly before his death in Arkansas on charges of possession and distribution of controlled substances.
Clark entered the magical world of the NBA in 2019, when he was selected 21st overall in the draft by the Grizzlies, whose jersey he wore throughout his seven-year career.
During that time, the 2.03m forward played in more than 300 games, averaging 10.2 points and 5.5 rebounds. Last season (2025–26), he was plagued by numerous and serious injuries, which resulted in him playing in only two regular-season games.
