The season isn't off to a good start for Barcelona.
The Catalans’ worst fears have been confirmed, as young Swedish player Runi Barzi, who was injured yesterday (August 10) during training, underwent tests today and was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
In fact, the 20-year-old winger is expected to undergo surgery immediately so that he can begin his rehabilitation as soon as possible.
This is Barzi’s second serious knee injury since he joined the Barcelona team (transferred from Copenhagen in 2025), which kept him sidelined for 10 months.
