Based on the data available so far from the Department of Meteorology, a new yellow warning is expected to be issued for Thursday, August 13, while a drop in temperature and possibly rainfall are be observed this coming Friday, Meteorological Officer Panagiotis Ligkis told CNA.
As Mr. Ligkis said, temperatures on Thursday are expected to approach 40 degrees again, and as a result, a yellow warning for extremely high temperaturestemperatures.

He added that starting Friday, the weather pattern will change, characterized mainly by instability and isolated rainfall in the mountains and gradually spreading inland, which will intensify somewhat over the weekend, accompanied by a drop in temperatures, which are expected to reach around 38 degrees.
Mr. Liggis said that rainfall and thunderstorms will be limited in both intensity and extent, while temperatures will be roughly at normal levels for this time of year.
Regarding humidity levels, the meteorologist noted that they have been somewhat elevated in recent days, but not to the extent that they are causing problems.
