This is the second time a 56-year-old man in Paphos has been targeted; in May, an explosion occurred at the front of his butcher shop, and on the night of August 11, another explosion took place in one of his vehicles.
Specifically, at around 3:15 a.m., a report was received of an explosion in a car owned by the 56-year-old, which was parked on Santorini Street in Paphos.
Subsequent investigations determined that the explosion was caused by a low-power improvised explosive device.
The explosion caused extensive damage to the car, as well as damage to a second vehicle that was parked nearby.
Investigations are ongoing by members of the Paphos CID.
On May 28, an explosion occurred outside the butcher shop owned by the 56-year-old man.
It is worth noting that the 56-year-old had also been targeted on May 28, when an explosion occurred outside the butcher shop he owns. Unidentified individuals placed an explosive device near the front of the butcher shop, causing extensive damage.
