Theodoros Kolokoudias Has Passed Away – A Life Devoted to the Union

The obituary
ALPHANEWSLIVE

The Paralimni Youth Union family is in mourning following the passing of Theodoros Kolokoudias, an iconic figure in the club’s history. For more than three decades, he served the club, leaving his own unique mark as a coach and a member of the organization.

The full announcement reads: “May you journey in peace, Theodoros Kolokoudias…

A man who dedicated his entire life to the Union has passed away.

It is with deep sorrow that the family of the Paralimni Youth Club bids farewell today to Theodoros Kolokoudias, one of the most important figures in the history of our Club.

A man whose name is inextricably linked to the Union, to its greatest moments and the most glorious chapters of its history.

Theodoros Kolokoudias was born in 1938 in Paralimni and devoted himself to sports from a very young age. He was the Pan-Cyprian champion in the 100-meter dash and the decathlon before making his own mark in soccer and, above all, with his beloved Enosis.

For more than 30 years, he faithfully served our team as a coach. He started with the youth teams and worked his way up to the first team, leaving an indelible mark on generations of players and linking his name to some of our Club’s most significant achievements:

• 4 Cup finals

• One second-place finish in the league

• Two third-place finishes

• The club’s first and only European victory, in the Cup Winners’ Cup.

But Theodoros Kolokoudias’s contribution cannot be measured solely by titles, rankings, and statistics.

It was his daily presence. His love for the team. The dedication, humility, kindness, and integrity with which he served the Tsolias emblem for more than three decades.

Today, the Club is not merely saying goodbye to a former coach.

It is bidding farewell to one of its own. A piece of its history. A man who dedicated his life to the Union and left behind a legacy that will live on for generations to come.

The funeral of the late Theodoros Kolokoudias will be held today, Wednesday, August 12, at 5:00 p.m., at the Church of St. George in Paralimni.

The Paralimni Youth Association shares in the deep grief of his family and loved ones and extends its sincere and heartfelt condolences.

The Association will never forget you.

Your name will forever be part of its history.

May your memory live on forever, and may the soil that covers you be light.”
