An F-16 fighter jet crashed in the province of Yalova in northwestern Turkey during a training flight, according to an announcement by the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
According to the same statement, the fighter jet’s pilot survived the crash after ejecting in time, and emergency services were immediately mobilized following the incident.
Turkish media report that the F-16 allegedly experienced a malfunction during the flight, though no further details have yet been released regarding the causes of the crash. Numerous ambulances and medical teams rushed to the crash site.

Statement from the Turkish Ministry of Defense
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense confirmed that the aircraft was an F-16 and announced that an investigation will be conducted to determine the causes of the accident.
“An F-16 aircraft crashed in Yalova during a training flight. Our pilot survived after ejecting from the aircraft. The causes of the accident will be determined following a detailed investigation,” the statement said.
