After a five-day battle for her life in the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital, 22-year-old Andreea Larisa Harabor, from Romania, a permanent resident of Cyprus.

The unfortunate woman had been critically injured in a traffic accident that occurred last Saturday afternoon on a curve along the Delikipos-Lythrodonta road.
“The collision occurred when the motorcycle driven by the 22-year-old woman collided with a car driven by a 46-year-old man.”

The 22-year-old, who had suffered serious head injuries, was hospitalized and on a ventilator. The exact cause of her death will be determined during the legally required autopsy on her body, which will be performed tomorrow.
Police on the Streets
Ahead of the three-day Assumption holiday weekend, the police will step up their presence on the streets to prevent traffic accidents.
Specific action plans will be implemented on major thoroughfares and in busy areas to conduct frequent checks and deter traffic violations.
