OFI made history! After winning the Cup, the team also claimed its first-ever Superbet Super Cup title by defeating AEK 5-4 in a penalty shootout after the match ended 2-2 in regulation.
The champions took the lead with a magnificent goal by Jović in the 38th minute, but then they seemed to let their guard down and watched as the Cretans turned the match around with a flawless shot by Androutsos in the 69th minute and a back-heel header by Kostoulas in the 76th minute. Zini redeemed “Enosis” in the 97th minute with a header, sending the match into extra time, but there Christogeorgos saved Varga’s shot and secured the title for his team.
