Olympiacos announced the signing of Embay Ediai, with the “Red-and-Whites” officially confirming his acquisition from Villeurbanne!
The young Senegalese forward will serve as Vezhenkov’s backup at the “4” position, effectively replacing Peters, who left to continue his career with Olimpia Milano.
Ediai, who is the Piraeus team’s third signing after Miller-McIntyre and Montero, will travel to Greece immediately on Sunday, August 16, on a flight from Lyon, France.
Ediai is coming off the most productive season of his career in the EuroLeague. In 32 games with Villeurbanne—10 of which he started—he averaged 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, 1.2 steals, and 1.3 assists. He also stood out for his efficiency near the basket, shooting 69.7% on two-point shots.
