New developments are emerging at APOEL regarding the return of Pieros Sotiriou, as the international forward is now expected to return to action in November, rather than in October as originally planned.
During his rehabilitation, fluid was detected in his knee, which led the player to travel to Germany to be examined by the doctor who had performed the surgery. There, the necessary drainage was performed, and the procedure was completed without complications.
Despite this development, there has been no significant change in the course of his recovery, and Sotiriou is continuing his rehabilitation program as scheduled. However, his return has been postponed, and APOEL will have to manage without one of its key offensive options during the first part of the season.
Nikos Papadopoulos will therefore have to rely on the available options up front until the return of the international striker, who is a key part of the “blue-and-yellows’” game plan.
