AEK is counting down to its crucial and extremely important matches against Levski Sofia in the Champions League playoffs.
The Bulgarians are the only obstacle standing between AEK and the elite competition, with the “yellow-and-blacks” having set qualifying for the group stage of the top interclub competition as their primary goal for this year.

AEK’s European roster, consisting of 22 players, has now been announced. James Penrose and Niklas Eliasson were left off the list, as they are on the verge of leaving the club.
The absence of Christos Alexiou is surprising; the young Greek center back, who did not play in the Superbet Super Cup final, is not included on the list. Milan Vitalis is also left out, though the Hungarian player is, of course, ineligible to participate.
