The Deputy Ministry of Culture has issued a statement expressing its deep sorrow over the death of actress Konstantina Kleopa, who passed away on Thursday, August 13.
“Konstantina Kleopa was a deeply beloved figure in the theater world, distinguished for her character, talent, and dedication to the art,” the statement reads.
“Her loss takes on a special symbolic significance, as she was a child of the theater in the literal sense of the term. The daughter of Andreas Kleopa, one of the first employees of the Cyprus Theater Organization, she grew up within Cyprus’s theater community and cultivated from an early age a deep and meaningful relationship with art and creativity,” the statement added.
It is also noted that “through her creative journey and her collaborations with figures in the cultural sphere, she earned the esteem of her colleagues and the public, leaving her own unique mark.”
The Deputy Ministry of Culture states that “it shares in the deep grief of her family and expresses its sincere and heartfelt condolences to her husband, her child, her mother, as well as to all her relatives, friends, and colleagues.”
“In these difficult moments, our thoughts are with the people who knew her, supported her, and loved her. Her contributions to the theater and her presence will remain alive in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to work with her and walk alongside her,” the statement concludes.
