Reports in France continue to focus on Marseille and its interest in Ese. A report published today on the French website foot01.com, claims that the Argentine star of Olympiacos is not just a transfer target for Marseille but a major transfer target during the current transfer window.
The report states that he is at the top of the team’s list of targets, with the aim of making a move to sign him in the time remaining until the transfer window closes.
However, it emphasizes that because the team’s financial situation isn’t the best, it is first looking for ways to trim its roster and free up funds so it can submit an offer to the Red-Whitesred-and-whites.
It claims that it will take approximately 14 million euros to convince Olympiacos to give the green light for the player’s transfer, while adding that it is not the only team with its sights set on Ese, as there are others as well.
“Premier League teams have inquired with Olympiacos to find out their intentions, but nothing has come of it,” he notes, among other things.
“For Marseille, the problem remains the same: They have to hope that the player will still be available for a transfer if a serious offer is made.
Olympiacos certainly won’t wait until August 31 to sell Ese if a good offer arrives at their offices,” the article concludes.
