The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and the Environment announces that today, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 9:40 a.m., a fire broke out within the administrative boundaries of the community of Alambra.
The fire was brought under complete control at 10:00 a.m., after burning an area of two decaria of dry grass and agricultural crops. Thanks to the prompt intervention of emergency responders, an adjacent residence that was in immediate danger was protected.
Twelve members of the Forestry Department participated in the firefighting operation, using four fire trucks and one agricultural tractor. The Fire Department also assisted in the firefighting operation with 5 personnel and 2 fire trucks.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
