Dortmund appears to be stepping up its efforts to sign Giannis Konstantelias, with the Germans presenting the PAOK star as one of Borussia’s top choices to bolster its attacking line.
According to “BILD,” Dortmund turned to Konstantelia after encountering difficulties in its attempt to sign Saïd El Mala from Cologne.
The most significant detail in the German report concerns the financial aspects of the deal. Specifically, there is talk of a fee that could reach 25.5 million euros for the 23-year-old’s transfer from PAOK. At the same time, a contract reportedly on the table for Konstantelia himself offers annual earnings of nearly 3 million euros.
In fact, the interest does not appear to be merely theoretical. As the report notes, there have already been contacts between the player’s representatives and Dortmund.
Meanwhile, David Blacha, an advisor to the German club, watched Konstantelia up close during PAOK’s European match against Anderlecht, seeking to form his own impression of the Greek star.
Dortmund is also considering other options for its attack, such as Abdou Ezalzouli, Alberto Moleiro, and Fiknik Aslani, while according to “L’Équipe,” Christopher Nkunku is also on the list. However, the amounts reportedly being discussed for Konstantelia show just how seriously the club is taking his case.
