Aris reached a full agreement with Farense on Saturday at noon regarding the acquisition of Ricardo Velio, quickly filling the vacancy in the goalkeeper position on the roster, fully confirming the report by the Portuguese newspaper Record.
According to the announcement from the yellow-and-black club, Aris will not be signing the 27-year-old international goalkeeper on loan but is proceeding with the purchase of his rights.
Also according to club officials, Velio will cost a total of 3.5 million euros. Vélio is expected in Thessaloniki tomorrow to undergo medical exams and, if all goes well, to sign a four-year contract.
The 27-year-old Portuguese player, who is represented by Jorge Mendes’s major agency, made 24 appearances for Genclerbirligi in Turkey last year, while Farençe, he played 106 times, having come from Braga.
