Porto made it “2-0” in the Portuguese league, defeating Rio Ave 2-0 on the road; Rio Ave is coached by Sotiris Sylaidopoulos.
The “Dragons” came out strong and took the lead in the 11th minute on a goal by Neuwen Pérez. They then controlled the game, not allowing the home team to create any real problems, and in the 82nd minute, Borja Sainz sealed the 2-0 victory.
For Rio Ave, three players of interest to Greek clubs were in the starting lineup. On loan from Olympiacos, Gustavo Mansa and Diogo Nascimento started, as did Giorgos Liavas, while Marios Vrousai came on as a substitute.
Porto now has two wins in as many matches, having scored four goals and kept a clean sheet. In contrast, Rio Ave remains without any points or goals in the league.
