With Ruben Amorim celebrating against his former team, Milan defeated Manchester United 4-2 in a friendly match held in Wroclaw, Poland, wrapping up their preseason in the best possible way.
Michael Carrick’s team took the lead twice, first through Harry Maguire and then through Patrick Dorgu, but failed to hold on to it. Milan responded both times, with Samuel Chukwueze scoring twice and Alphajo Cissé and Ruben Loftus-Chik sealing the final result.
For Amorim, who left United last January after 14 months at the helm, the victory held special significance. The Portuguese coach thus celebrated against his former club in a friendly match that offered plenty of excitement.
United wrapped up their preseason with two wins, three draws, and one loss, and is now turning its attention to the Premier League opener, where it will face newly promoted Hull away on August 22. Meanwhile, Milan kicks off its season next Sunday (August 23) at Torino.
