According to a police statement, the incident occurred at 8:30 p.m. last Friday in an area of Limassol. A 39-year-old man from Syria was attacked by another person, who injured him with a sharp object, likely a knife. The victim was transported by ambulance to Limassol Hospital, where he was found to have a laceration on his face, believed to have been caused by a sharp object. He received medical treatment and was subsequently discharged.
Based on the investigation conducted by police officers, evidence emerged against a man, also 39 years old and a compatriot of the victim. The suspect was located by police officers, who proceeded to arrest him. Yesterday morning, the suspect was brought before the Limassol District Court, where he was remanded in custody for six days to facilitate the police investigation.
