Yiannis Konstantelias' transfer to Borussia Dortmund has been finalized, as the 23-year-old international attacking midfielder successfully passed the necessary medical exams and signed his new contract with the German club. Now, the only thing left to finalize the deal is the official announcement from the Westphalian club.
The agreement will bring the “Double-Headed Eagle of the North” a guaranteed sum of 28 million euros, with an additional 2 million euros in the form of performance-based bonuses.
At the same time, the Thessaloniki club retains a 17.5% resale percentage in the event of a future sale of the player. For his part, the Greek star is expected to be officially announced for the next four years, with annual earnings exceeding 3 million euros.
Konstantelias returns to Thessaloniki on Sunday evening (August 16). The soccer player informed Dortmund officials that he must be in Greece for personal reasons.
Shortly thereafter, within the next few days, he will travel back to Germany to join his new team.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder bids farewell to PAOK after a remarkable career that included 190 appearances, 44 goals, and 26 assists, having celebrated winning one Greek League title and one Greek Cup.
